Juan Nino is a graduate student and research assistant at the Music Faculty of Laval University in Québec, Canada. His current studies involve the fields of Smart Environment, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality and Music in Videogames. He is born in Mexico, where he majored in Mechatronics Engineering and was granted different scholarships to do research in laboratories in Universita degli studi di Padova (Italy, summer 2014) and Laval University (Canada, summer 2015). He received the merit as the highest performing student in his major in 2015. Inspired by the revolution "sensation-engineered" devices and applications lead, he seeks for technology to explode and stimulate each of the user’s senses, and allow them to live and intensely re-experience the memories and sensations related to the activities they are passionate about. “Technology is not lines of codes and finely designed devices; technology is passion and the explosion of users’ sensations.”
