Francis Dubé is Full Professor of Instrumental Pedagogy at the Music Faculty of Laval University. His research interests are in music technologies, informal music learning and creativity in instrumental teaching. His research is subsidized by the FRQ-SC (Team of researchers/2014-2016) and SSHRC (Insight Development/2014-2016; Partnership Development/2015-2018). He received a major grant from the CFI for the construction of a Research Laboratory (www.larfadi.oicrm.org).
Francis Dubé is director of the Master's program in Instrumental Pedagogy and the Master and Doctorate programs in Music Education. He is in charge of the Excellence Center in Music Pedagogy for his Faculty. He is supervising more than 30 graduate students for master and doctorate degrees. He regularly gives conferences in different countries in North America, South America, Europe and Asia on different topics of music pedagogy. In 2013, he received an award from his University for his teaching excellence.
