This presentation and workshop explores the creation of an interactive listening app for iOS touchscreen devices. "Toccata" (formerly known as “Musical Chairs: From Spectator to Stage") is an app where users are able to explore recorded audio/video performances through isolation of sounds using typical gestures for touch screen devices (pinch to zoom, panning, muting, etc.).
