Music and Musicianship - Reverse Engineer your Musical Training

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The tools available for music creation have developed to the point that creating great sounding music no longer requires copious amounts of equipment, time, formal training, a depth of knowledge or even basic musical skills. What once was a daunting and all consuming journey from musical thought to music production has been become as simple as humming into a mobile device. These tools open up new realms for music creation, but also provide a powerful platform for developing musicianship based on the nature of the student and the community they come from. This session will outline how the process of creating original music with students and performing that music within the community can provide the ideal environment for the development of modern day musicianship skills.
