As technology becomes an essential part of our lives, teachers are expected to integrate technology into all facets of education. While teachers have a wealth of cloud based tools to chose from, it may be hard to find exactly what works and what doesn’t, as well as find innovative uses for these tools. This session will demonstrate a variety of tools for all ages (as well as lesson ideas) that will support creativity and community in the music classroom. Using the cloud based tools and integration of the MusicFirst Online Classroom, session participants will compose, create, and share using tools such as Groovy Music, Morton Subotnick’s Music Academy, Soundation4Education, Noteflight, and more. They will create and compose, share, give and receive feedback on their own work, and reflect on how they can (or cannot) use these techniques and tools in their own classrooms or other settings.
